SRC Rows 1,298,819 meters for NARC in 2008 The challenge was simple: row as many meters as possible from March 15 to April 15. SRC had 21 members officially registered for the challenge, rowing an average 61,848 meters. Five members of team SRC rowed over 100,000 meters, making them eligible for additional random drawing prizes from Concept 2. Victoria 221235 Nanette 177275 Lisa 143560 Chris 102351 Pat 100308 How did SRC stack up against other rowing clubs? We placed 8th among rowing clubs, just 55,137 m. behind Amoskeag Rowing Club. Marin pulled ahead in the final week, leaving SRC 390,011m. short! Who would have guessed that one? Still, placing 8th out of 33 rowing clubs is certainly something to celebrate. Great job SRC! Beginning March 15... Be prepared to CRUSH last years record in 2009! |
