Stockton Rowing Jr. Crew
Stockton Rowing Juniors compete with many Northern California junior rowing teams including Marin Rowing Association, Pacific Rowing Club, St. Ignatius High School Rowing Team, Serra High School Rowing Team, Berkeley High School Rowing Team, Oakland Strokes Crew, Los Gatos Rowing Club, River City Rowing Club, Nor Cal Rowing Club, North Bay Rowing Club, Peninsula Aquatic Center, University Prep (Redding), Humboldt Rowing Association, Capital Crew, Jack London Aquatic Center (JLAC) and Palo Alto Rowing Club.

Junior Team
The Stockton Rowing Club’s Junior Team plans for an outstanding 2008-09 season. This year’s team will number between 20-30 rowers in 8th-12th grades representing 10 San Joaquin County schools. The Spring Sprint Season begins in January and runs through May. It includes four league race dates plus whatever dual races or invitational races we arrange. Spring season culminates with championships. The Fall Head Race Season begins in August and runs through November. Practices are on weekdays and take place after school and occasional special weekend practices are held in the early morning. Locations of practice will vary during the season to coordinate with the racing schedule and weather conditions. Summer sessions will be conducted to capture and improve skill and strength levels.

Junior Women’s and Junior Men’s Teams

Novice Athletes: consist of first year beginning rowers of middle school and high school age.

Junior Varsity Athletes: consist of second and third year rowers of high school age and having already participated as a Novice rower or the coaches feel have the ability to participate at this skill level.

Varsity Athletes: consist of 3rd-4th year rowers of high school age or the coaches feel have the ability to participate at this skill level.
